This ad sheet dates from the early 1960s. I have seen only a handful of supercharged MGA and MGBs over the years and have no firsthand experience with them. When these units were new the popular consensus was that they indeed boosted power, but did so at the expense of valve life. I do not know if this occurs in actual application. It seems plausible, but one would expect that a supercharged car would be driven much harder anyway and so more regular valve service might be expected.
